Blue Ginger

I recently ate at "Blue Ginger" in Bellevue. It is a Korean BBQ, where you cook. Each table has a small grill in the center of the table and they bring your order to the table. They begin by placing it on the grill and then it is your turn to begin cooking. While you wait for your meat and vegetables( or what you choose) you enjoy salad, rice and side dishes. The side dishes include: kimchee, pickled sprouts, fish and spinach. It was absolutely delicious and lots of fun to cook your own meal. A must to visit!

First Mortgage Payment

OMG...I mailed my first mortgage payment this morning! Feels good, but also a little scary. I tried to set up an online account yesterday, however my loan was sold to Bank of America and they don't take full control until June 1st (when my payment is due), so I have to wait until next month. Why do they sell loans? Makes me feel like my lender didn't want to keep my business. Anyways, I am going to get my online account set up and I think that I am going to enroll in bi-weekly payments, so I can knock a few years off the loan.

I have been working hard to get everything finished and put away the way I want it. Also, been doing a few home improvements. My dad and I replaced the bathroom faucet last weekend. We also had to repair a hole in the basement sheet rock that the plumber made. I needed my outside faucet replaced, because it was broken and leaking water every where. The only access the plumber had was to cut a hole in the ceiling and replace the pipe. Gotta love home ownership!

It's Official!

I have a Place! I closed on my condo yesterday and moved some things in. It feels so good, especially after 9 months of torture. I spent 8 months, trying to get a condo that the banks really didn't want to sell. (If anyone is looking for advice on a short sale involving two banks, please ask) Then I found another condo (my condo) and closed within 4 1/2 weeks. I am so happy to finally be unpacking my stuff that has been stored since August. Pictures to come later...

Oh, I also started my new contract job with Microsoft. Cinco de Mayo was a busy day for me! More updates to follow...
