What a nice surprise!

Seahawks Game

Yesterday I went to the Seahawks game with my dad. I woke up early and it was pouring, so I wasn't very enthused about going.

However, it turned out to be a pretty nice afternoon, the sun came out for the first half of the game. Started to sprinkle in the 3rd quarter, but for only about five minutes. The game was very exciting with lots of activity. The Seahawks had two punt returns that they ran in for touchdowns...nearly 80-90 yards each and held the chargers, for a 27-20 game win! Go Hawks!!!

Oktoberfest

This past weekend was Fremont Oktoberfest. A few friends from my volunteer group and I decided to volunteer Friday evening, so we could use our free admission the following day.

It was lots of fun pouring beer Friday night and it is a great trade off to get into the event for free. Saturday was a beatuiful day, so it was a very enjoyable event.

When you purchase a ticket or "get in free", you get 6 tokens to taste the beer. We ended up with lots more tokens, because were given more from other people that also came to the event. It turned out that we had so much fun, we took a cab home and had pizza at 11pm. The next morning we went back to get the car and had a ticket. :(

Caety's Skate King Party

Leave it to Caety to throw an Amazing Birthday Party! We all met at the Grill for some sandwiches, burritos and beer and then it was off to Skate King to practice our moves.

Some of us decided to dress in 80's attire, since that was maybe the last time I was at Skate King ;)

I hadn't skated since I was a kid, so I was nervous. I finally went out on the rink after watching everyone else for a while and I mean a while! I made a lap on my own and then skated around with Kiki. When I let go of his hand and felt more confident, I fell. I knew that it was going to happen, it was just a matter of time. When I got back to the side, we were ready to leave to hit the next spot.

Caety is an amazing singer, so it is only fitting that we went to Lake Street Grill for some Karaoke. Many people got up and sang and everyone sounded great. When Caety sang it gave my chills...that girl needs a record deal! Happy Birthday Caety!!!
