Covington Cellars

Yesterday, I went to Covington Cellars in Woodinville for a tour with the winemaker. During the tour of the winery, we got to the see their grape stomper (they don't stomp the grapes with their feet) and bottling system. Afterwards it was time to sample some wine and enjoy some food pairings.

(L-R) tomato bisque, cheese and sausage calzone, meatball and cheese spread with ham in a pastry crust. Yummy!!

One of the best parts of the tour, the couple have a golden retriever rescue that roams around. Chance especially enjoys climbing up the barrels and taking out the stoppers. We had the pleasure to witness this a few times...so funny! He also enjoys chewing on corks, however I am not sure that this is healthy...many small pieces.

Some fun facts: The winery is owned by a couple, who both have full time jobs and they live in Covington...hence the name. :)
